Ann Richmond Garlough

Artist Ann Richmond Garlough’s specialty is horses. She invested nearly three decades in breeding, training and showing horses, and thus is singularly equipped to paint their portraits. Her finely honed natural talent, and many years of experience give her a creative edge. Her ability to capture not only the individual character, but the essence of an owner’s feelings for his animal, has been described as uncanny.

Whatever the ingredients that combine to make each of her paintings a fine work of art, her lifelike renderings of horses have won acclaim across the United States and Canada. The same talent for realism and close attention to detail has earned equally wide recognition for her Western paintings, making Ann Richmond Garlough one of today’s outstanding artists in her area of work.
