Devon Rankin

Devon Rankin owns a small breeding operation called Starblanket Ranch in Waxahachie, Texas. It got its name for the beautiful, star-filled nights that go from horizon to horizon on the Texas plains. Being raised in the military, she wasn’t able to have a horse, so she drew them instead. Orren Mixer’s painting of Chief Of Four Mile opened her eyes to the Appaloosa breed and she’s had a love of them for more than 40 years.
