Sherry Blanchard Stuart of Scottsdale, Arizona, has been a full-time painter for the past 25 years. Her unique style embraces a sense of light and she prefers painting outside in nature where the brilliance of sunlight creates rich shadows and contrast. Her style blends realism with a hint of softness to the edges and bold colors with a wide range of light and dark values to create visual interest in her paintings.

Sherry considers herself a perpetual student of art and she paints a wide variety of subject matter including figures, still lifes, buildings and African-themed pieces. She also has a fascination with the beauty of the horse and Native Americans, cowboys and ranching. She’ll often work from real-life inspiration after organizing photo shoots or going to organized shoots.
